The Robin Cancer Trust
May 14, 2026
We’re incredibly proud to share that our short film has been awarded 'Bronze' at the Smiley Charity Film Awards 2026.
In what was the most competitive year to date, this recognition from the Smiley Charity Film Awards means a huge amount to all of us at The Robin Cancer Trust.
Last year, our CEO Toby Freeman became the first person ever to run across the country dressed as a giant pair of balls, covering 150km in 3 days to raise awareness and vital funds for those affected by testicular cancer.
This challenge was just part of his wider Big Ballsy Challenge, which sees him running in memory of his brother Robin, who passed away from testicular cancer when he was just 24. He is running to support The Robin Cancer Trust, raise awareness and help save lives.
Along the way, we captured everything by hand. Without a big production crew and a script, we were able to document real moment from this extraordinary challenge, piecing them together into a mini documentary, which reflects exactly why we do what we do.
As Toby took on this challenge, he captured his motivations, thoughts and hoped to inspire others. He was joined along the way by so many supporters and our staff, which captured moments which all made it into the final film.
'I couldn't be prouder of my balls, our team, and our mission. We do all this so no-one has to face testicular cancer alone, so we can break the stigma and raise awareness - so that no-other family has to go through what mine did' - Toby Freeman - The Robin Cancer Trust CEO and Founder.
