Sisters Take on Paddy's Path Challenge In Support of Nephew Diagnosed With Testicular Cancer

The Robin Cancer Trust

Mar 4, 2026

Inspired by our RUN24 campaign, Fiona and her team will be clocking up 240km over the next 10 months, at 10 different locations, to show support for her nephew Paddy.

Check out this AMAZEBALLS challenge that Fiona Britton and her family/friends are undertaking over the next 10 months! 🔥

Inspired by our RUN24 campaign, Fiona and her team will be clocking up 240km over the next 10 months, at 10 different locations, to show support for her nephew Paddy, as he deals with his recent testicular cancer diagnosis at age 25, and to raise vital funds for The Robin Cancer Trust

The challenge is called 'Paddy's Path' and on one day each month until November, Fiona, along with her family and friends, will clock up 24km in a specific location.

Their challenge has started strong, as they recently clocked up 24k at Watchtree Nature Reserve. They have already raised over £2,400! What a fantastic start!

The team took on 24km at Watchtree Nature Reserve in February.

Fiona said, "Paddy is our youngest nephew - he is 25 and got married to Lana last August. This diagnosis has come 4 months into their marriage. I am the youngest of four sisters - Sheila, Deb, Julie & myself.

Sheila has three children, Joe, Pip and Paddy. I run on and off (when I'm injury-free) so I am taking this steady. Julie is an on-and-off runner, and Deb is a hockey player. I'm 56, my other sisters are in their 60's.

Since thinking up this challenge, on the 24th January, after discovering the charity's Run24 challenge, I have started to increase my mileage, and I got up to 7 miles in training.

On Wednesday 25th Feb , our first challenge was at Watchtree Nature Reserve and I managed to run 10 miles and cycle the remaining 6. My sisters ran 8 and then cycled/walked. The last six miles on the bike were hellish, but nothing compared to what Paddy is going through and to be fair, if I had prepared properly, I would have gotten a bike that didn't change gears of its own accord and didn't weigh a ton!

We were pleased with ourselves, although knackered, and the Watchtree cafe treated us to coffee afterwards. At the same time, Sheila and our cousin Sandra took on their own challenges."

Thanks so much for your support, Fiona and team! We can't thank you enough for taking on this epic challenge. All of us here at the RCT send Paddy our best wishes and support. Good luck with clocking up the remaining distance, and we can't wait to see more photos and see how you are getting on!
