The Robin Cancer Trust
Jul 21, 2026
At The Robin Cancer Trust, we work with businesses who want to do more than simply support a charity financially.
Businesses today are looking for more than traditional sponsorship opportunities.
A logo on a banner or website has its place, but the most successful partnerships go further. They create opportunities for employees to get involved, bring people together and demonstrate a genuine commitment to the communities they operate in.
At The Robin Cancer Trust, we work with businesses who want to do more than simply support a charity financially. They want to create experiences their teams remember, conversations that matter and impact that can be measured. Whether that's through sponsorship, employee fundraising, networking events or workplace awareness, there are many ways businesses can make a difference.
Why sponsorship should be about more than visibility
The best partnerships create a win-win for the business, their employees and the charity they are supporting. The benefits include:
For businesses
Build stronger relationships with customers and communities
Give employees meaningful opportunities to get involved
Support wellbeing and team connection
Demonstrate commitment to social responsibility
For employees
Take part in shared experiences outside the workplace
Feel connected to a cause that matters
Build stronger relationships with colleagues
For charities
Raise vital funds
Reach more people with life-saving awareness
Support people affected by cancer
How businesses can get involved and help save lives
Sponsor a large scale community event
The Colchester Half Marathon is owned by The Robin Cancer Trust. Each year this annual race brings together thousands of runners, supporters and local businesses. Attracting over 3,000 runners, every entry helps fund our work providing life-saving testicular and ovarian cancer awareness and vital support services.
For businesses, sponsorship provides an opportunity to:
Showcase your brand to a large audience both online and offline
Engage employees through team participation
Demonstrate your commitment to the community
We have sponsorship opportunities available for businesses of all sizes.
The 2026 race was supported by valued local businesses and Toby Freeman, CEO and Founder of The Robin Cancer Trust, said:
“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the 2026 Colchester Half Marathon such a success, especially our sponsors and partners for their continued support. All funds raised go directly towards our life-saving cancer awareness and support work, helping us to educate, engage and empower more young people in Colchester and beyond.”

Bring your team together for a challenge
RUN24 gives businesses the opportunity to bring colleagues together through a shared challenge while raising funds for The Robin Cancer Trust. Taking on a 24-hour treadmill challenge, RUN24 is a great example of how fundraising can become part of employee engagement, creating conversations, encouraging teamwork and supporting a meaningful cause.
House Group and United Soles running club took on their RUN24 challenge in January. Their team completed 132 miles in their 24-hour treadmill challenge, raising over £1,900 for the Robin Cancer Trust. Their team took turns to keep the treadmill manned for 24-hours
Support a local community event
