Colchester Half Marathon raises over £92k for The Robin Cancer Trust

The Robin Cancer Trust

The 2025 race has raised a staggering £92,351 for The Robin Cancer Trust.

As organisers of the 2025 Colchester Half Marathon held in March, we had the pleasure in revealing that this years race raised a staggering £92,351 for The Robin Cancer Trust. These vital funds help us to continue the charity's life-saving awareness, education and support programmes for young people affected by germ cell cancer.

The annual race, which has become a flagship community event in the city's calendar, attracted a record breaking 3,500 runners who took on the undulating 13.1 mile course around the city.

Toby Freeman , Founder & CEO of The Robin Cancer Trust said:

"We're so proud to have raised such an amazing amount of money. This will help fund our life-saving cancer awareness, education, and support programmes for young people in the community - what an incredible legacy for our Half-Marathon!

It's a monumental task delivering this event - so our heartfelt thanks goes out to all our sponsors, partners, team members, volunteers, and runners who make it all happen. The half marathon is going from strength to strength and we can't wait to see what we can achieve together in 2026!"

This year’s Colchester Half-Marathon was proudly sponsored by local companies Mersea Homes, Scrutton Bland, John Fowlers Solicitors and Capital Calibrations – with all the sponsors having a number of their staff take part in the run, as well as volunteering.

Entries are open for next year’s Colchester Half Marathon, taking place on Sunday 8th March 2026.
